Utah Real Estate Continuing Education Courses

Questions? Everything you need to know about Utah real estate continuing education coursesUtah requires 18 hours of continuing education every two years. Licenses must be renewed by the 15th of the expiration month. Licensees must complete 3 hours of Mandatory course topics (residential, commercial, or property management) and at least 6 hours of Core topics, with the remaining hours in approved Core or Elective topics.

Sales Agents renewing for the first time are required to take a 12-hour New Agent course and 3 hours of Mandatory topics, with the remaining topics in Core or Elective topics.

How to renew your Utah MLO license

Mortgage loan originators licensed with the Utah Department of Real Estate (DRE) must take 9 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education every year. This includes 8 hours of NMLS general education and a 1-hour Utah state-specific elective. The UT-DRE also requires a one time 5-hour post-license course for first time renewals. DFI licensees are not required to take state-specific education, and may select a generic 8-hour course. All CE is due by December 15.
