Your skills as a Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS) will help you create a strategy for every seller to strategically position the property in the market – for the least amount of time, work, and money!
Created by Martha Webb, author and producer of Dress Your House for Success, CHMS incorporates staging concepts and strategic marketing plans that create an increased level of real estate expertise - from dialogue that motivates sellers to property descriptions and photos that motivate buyers.
CHMS is a marketing certification – and you’ll build skills on a variety of levels. At the core of the course is communication with your sellers… communication that motivates them to participate in pre-market preparation and builds a stronger relationship with you.
It begins with the Listing Consultation: you’ll have statistics and dialog you can incorporate to help sellers gain a perspective of objectivity and motivate them to actually undertake pre-market activities from cleaning and uncluttering to staging.
You’ll be able to make recommendations and connect sellers to resources that can improve their competitive position: identify low-cost, high impact techniques to deliver key messages to buyers, even point out props that you can utilize to deliver key messages to buyers.
Then, we’ll go a step further and incorporate staging principles in your Internet marketing… you’ll gain new skills to add emotion to property descriptions, photography and video to enhance your internet marketing.

This online video course is divided into four parts:
At the end of each chapter you will be assigned a field trip activity to complete. These activities will involve researching various websites or completing online assignments. Each of the four field trips need to be completed and sent to Martha's team for review.
After completing a field trip there will be a short quiz to enforce the topics you learned about in the chapter. The quizzes are not timed and can be attempted as many times as necessary before earning the required passing score.
This course will take approximately 5 hours to complete.
This course will remain available to students for 365 days after enrollment.
