Oklahoma requires 30 hours of continuing education every three years. All licensees must complete 6 hours of education on the topic of contracts and forms. The remaining hours must be completed in additional required topics. Broker associates and sales associates must complete an additional 7 hours in required topics and 17 hours in elective topics, while brokers must complete an additional 15 hours in broker-in-charge course topics along with 9 hours in elective topics.

How to Renew Your Oklahoma Real Estate License

Oklahoma real estate Sales Associates, Broker Associates, and Brokers renew their licenses every 3 years through the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC) License Portal. To renew, you must complete the required continuing education (CE) and submit your renewal before your license expires.

Step 1: Complete the Required Continuing Education

All Oklahoma Resident licensees must complete 30 hours of CE every 3 years.

Inactive licensees are not required to complete continuing education for renewal.

Important: Continuing education must be completed and submitted before midnight on your license expiration date.

Step 2: Verify Your Course Completions

The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission tracks continuing education through the OREC License Portal.

Course providers report your completed courses. If your continuing education is not listed, you must submit proof of completion through the License Portal. Log in to the License Portal to confirm your continuing education has been reported before renewing your license.

Step 3: Complete Your License Renewal

Oklahoma real estate licenses are renewed online through the OREC License Portal.

To renew your license:

  1. Log in to the License Portal
  2. Select "License Renewal" (available 60 days before your expiration date)
  3. Click "Renew"
  4. Confirm your personal information
  5. Verify your continuing education. If any courses are missing, you must upload them through the License Portal.
  6. Answer the declaration questions
  7. Review fees, submit payment, and finalize your renewal

After submitting, your licensure documents and public registry information will be updated to reflect your new expiration date.
