Design for Every Life takes a comprehensive look at how thoughtful property modifications can support residents of all ages, abilities, and life situations. The course starts with accessibility modifications; covering everything from aging in place and independence to legal regulations like the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Housing Act. Learners explore types of modifications that enhance mobility, usability, and safety, supported by innovative tech and practical planning tools.
Subsequent modules expand on safety and inclusivity with focused sections on childproofing homes, accommodating pets, and preparing for natural disasters such as floods, fires, and earthquakes. Participants gain insights into hazard identification, common safety enhancements, and marketing strategies for family- and pet-friendly homes. Throughout the course, learners are equipped with scripts, checklists, and client-service tips to help them become trusted advisors in creating homes that truly work for every life stage and circumstance.
