This course will give you a good overview of working with a residential real estate seller. A real estate licensee must understand the seller's perspective of the transaction; we'll take a deep dive into preparing for a listing appointment with a homeowner to secure a listing agreement. You'll learn best practices for marketing a property, such as offering an open house or a broker open, installing lock boxes, issues with protecting seller privacy, and navigating through the sensitive topic of price reductions and listing withdrawals/cancellations.

This course also explores what to do when potential buyers submit multiple offers and the best practices when assisting the seller with their counter offers.

Since not every transaction runs smoothly, this course will explain how to deal with financial issues that may arise with the parties, what happens when a sale "fails," and who is responsible for termination costs and attorney fees.
