Did you know that you can't ask your tenant to move out after they have lived there a year without a qualifying reason? This 1.5-hour class will teach you everything you need to know about the state law SB608 that established a state wide rent increase limit and significantly restricted a landlord's ability to use a No-Cause notice of termination. Landlord's can be exempt from paying the relocation fee with some specific qualifying reasons that we will cover in detail.

In this course we will discuss Oregon State Laws SB608 and HB291. These laws cover statewide rent control, no-cause notice reform and new screening requirements.

Note: This course was originally recorded before the passage of Senate Bill (SB 611) in late 2023, which added additional limits on statewide rent increase limits.
