This course will cover several fundamental state regulations that Missouri mortgage loan originators must be familiar with. Being familiar with important laws in Missouri's residential mortgage loan industry will ensure that mortgage loan originators are compliant with the state's expectations of MLO behavior.
The first part of this course will review the Missouri SAFE Act. This act added several new regulations such as licensing of mortgage loan originators, requirements for mortgage brokerages, and prohibited acts and practices.
The second part of this course will cover other Missouri-specific laws regarding mortgage loan origination. Missouri's specific regulations regarding second and junior lien mortgages will be detailed, and an explanation of Missouri Reverse Mortgage Act will be covered.
