Learn how to renew your Rhode Island real estate license and choose continuing education courses right for you.
Rhode Island requires 24 hours of continuing education for real estate salespersons and brokers. Our 24-hour package has everything you need to satisfy the state requirement, including a 3-hour Fair Housing (FH) course that is required as of January 2022.
Once you have completed all 24 hours, you are ready to renew your RI real estate license.
After the 24 hours of Rhode Island real estate continuing education have been completed, licensees can submit their renewal application to the Division of Commercial Licensing and Regulation.
A real estate license issued before December 31, 2019 will expire on April 30 of every even-numbered year.
A real estate license issued after January 1, 2020 will expire every two years on the anniversary date of issuance.
Licensees who hold a valid license originally issued prior to December 12, 1984, are not required to take continuing education courses.
You can renew at the Rhode Island eLicensing site.
