Upon enrollment, you will be assigned a course instructor. You can contact your instructor if you need help understanding the material, or have questions. In addition, the instructor will review and (if necessary) comment on each quiz and final exam to assist you in understanding course concepts.

The licensing exam preparation course and accompanying licensing exam simulator are included. You can practice taking a simulated broker licensing exam before your testing date. The exam prep module contains over 2,000 questions, covering the topics that you'll be tested on during the state licensing exam. This can inform you of topics you may need to study before taking the state exam.
Students that complete the exam prep course are much more likely to pass the state exam.

To get a principal broker license in Oregon, all applicants must:
All applicants for a principal broker license must have at least 3 years of active real estate experience. If you are a licensed Oregon real estate broker, the Oregon Real Estate Agency has records and proof of your past 3 years of real estate experience on-file.
You will need to complete your real estate license application in the Agency's online license management system. After your application is processed you will receive an applicant ID. If you are licensed in a different state, you will be required to submit a certified license history from that state.
You will need to complete the required 40-hour principal broker license training course. All out-of-state principal broker applicants must take the 150-hour Oregon real estate broker pre-license training course as well as the 40-hour principal broker course.

The 40-hour principal broker course consists of two parts. Part one consists of the brokerage business, supervision and legal requirements. The second part is a review of real estate principles and practices.

At the end of the course will be a final exam. You must pass the module exam with a score of at least 75%. After you have finished the 40-hour training program, your Applicant ID and record of successful completion will be submitted to the OREA's state licensing exam provider. You will then receive an email on how you can sign up and take the real estate licensing exam.

The exam will be issued at one of the provider's testing facilities, with locations throughout Oregon. After you successfully pass the state licensing exam, you make payment for the background check and fingerprinting directly at the testing center. This background check may take several weeks to complete.
