Mortgage licensees in the District of Columbia are required by the Department of Insurance, Securities, and Banking (DISB) to take a 1-hour course on local mortgage laws and regulations.
In this course, licensees will review several DISB regulations. The first chapter of this course will outline licensee conduct that is prohibited by consumer protection laws. The second chapter will go over the activities that licensees are expected to comply with when working with residential mortgage loans. The third chapter in this course will describe the disclosures and agreements that must be given to loan applicants, and the fourth chapter will describe the District's laws relating to usury, points, and interest rates.

This course satisfies 1 hour of required continuing education for Washington DC licensed mortgage loan originators. This course is approved by the NMLS.
