Missouri REALTORS® 12-Hour License Renewal CE Package

This course will help agents and brokers level up their ethical power by ensuring they understand the NAR Code of Ethics and the professional standards process. Students will engage with trivia, case studies, and scenarios to enhance their skills. Qualifies for NAR mandate for all REALTORS® to acquire at least 2.5 hours of continuous Code of Ethics training every three years.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to:

• Recall the history of the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics
• Describe the structure and purpose of NAR’s Code of Ethics
• Outline and describe the professional standards, arbitration, and grievance processes
• Identify correct answers to trivia on the Code of Ethics
• Analyze in-depth case studies to describe how a Code of Ethics article was or was not violated and outline actions to avoid any violations of the specific article.
• Evaluate if briefly outlined real-world scenarios describe Code of Ethics violations

After completing all components of the course, you will be required to pass a final exam with at least a 75% passing grade to receive credit for completing NAR Cycle 8 Code of Ethics requirement and to receive the Missouri CE credit. You have unlimited attempts to pass the final exam.

This course will provide an overview of the history of fair housing laws, discuss the basics of following the law, outline specific additional protections in local Missouri, discuss scenarios, provide tools on rental fair housing, and approaches to addressing bias. Qualifies for NAR mandate for all REALTORS® to acquire at least 2 hours of continuous Fair Housing training every three years.

• Define the different types of agency
• Describe the purpose of the Brokerage Relationship Disclosure form
• Differentiate the three areas of the listing contract and buyer’s agreement that are required by Missouri Statute; Missouri Code of Regulations; and, NAR Code of Ethics
• Identify the different areas within the listing contract and buyer’s agreement that correlate with Missouri Statute; Missouri Code of Regulations; and, NAR Code of Ethics
• Identify the proper application and usage of the form for Authorization to Show, Compensation, and Collaboration.
