The course emphasizes that the standards of ethical conduct in the practice of real estate are based upon the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and upon federal and state laws governing conduct applicable to the practice of real estate. The concept of misrepresentation and all of its implications to the daily practice of real estate is discussed in detail. This course is an article-by-article dissection of the Code of Ethics, organized in three major topic areas:
A detailed discussion of specific ethical conduct under each of these three general categories will give the licensee an excellent basis upon which to conduct an ethical practice of real estate.
NAR members are required to complete 2.5 hours of Ethics training every two years. This course qualifies towards your good membership standing with NAR.
This is an online mastery-based course. It contains segments that include reading, video, questions, quizzes, discussions, polls, and a final exam. Students are expected to progress through all activities to make course progress.
Completion of the course requires passing a final examination of 30 multiple choice questions with a minimum score of 75%. Students that fail a final exam may retake the final exam as many times as needed to pass.
A course completion certificate will be issued after the final exam has been passed. Students must retain their original continuing education completion certificates for 5 years, and have them available for review if requested by the Real Estate Commission.
The course will take about 3 clock hours to complete.

Students must complete the course by midnight on June 30 of each year. All incomplete courses will be terminated automatically on July 1.
