California DOC Extends MLO Applicant Filing Date

May 27, 2010 - OnlineEd has obtainted the following information about SAFE Act deadlines and education:

(1) The DOC has extended the requested filing date for Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) applicants to June 15, 2010 in order to ensure that the DOC has sufficient time to process the application by July 31, 2010.

(2) Additionally, the DOC, in conjunction with the Department of Real Estate (DRE), will certify compliance with the pre-license education requirements for those MLO applicants that apply only to the DOC for an MLO license. The certification will state that the pre-license education requirement has been satisfied because of education completed for obtaining a DRE license.
