Learn to create consistent, reliable, and reproducible square footage measurements in single-family homes, based on the ANSI Guideline. This course will give you a new perspective on the all-powerful price-per-square-foot formula. Discover the secret power of square footage. Indeed, size matters!
This course describes the most often utilized practices and procedures for measuring and calculating square footage in detached single-family dwellings. The enclosed principles and methods are based on the American National Standard for Single-Family Buildings (ANSI) Guideline. This course offers real estate professionals a stronger understanding of this complex topic, and a closer look at how square footage influences home values in CMA's, AVM's, and appraisals. Square footage is the "currency of real estate," and buyers and sellers often view real estate agents as the square footage experts!
This course is made up of 11 lessons. There is a short quiz at the end of each lesson. A lesson's quiz requires a minimum 80% passing score to move on to the next lesson.
At the end of the course is a 25-question final exam. The questions are in multiple choice format. The final exam requires a minimum passing score of 75%. The final exam does not have a time limit, and students may attempt to pass the final exam more than once. Additional attempts at the final exam may have different questions than the previous failed attempt.
Once the student successfully passes the course final exam, a course completion certificate will be available for the student to download and print out for his/her personal continuing education records.
